In the event booklet you will find some paper-based activities and quizzes that will help keep them amused whilst you enjoy a bite to eat or a refreshing glass. These include a wordsearch, things to spot, plus a crossword that adults might enjoy too.
Also in the booklet, there are some interactive activities that your child can do as they go around the festival. Help Farmer Tom find out which of his vegetables are missing with our Vegetable Hunt game. Or stop by our participating stalls to taste food and get your Taste Trail Bingo card punched. There are small rewards available from the MKFoodFest stall when complete. Extra sheets are available at our stand too if you have several children who want to take part.
If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the festival for a while then pop along the Little Bookshop to sit down for a quiet read. There are food-themed books to borrow from our bookbox to read to your children and throughout the day Dionne will be running Storytelling sessions, each one aimed at a different age-group.
It maybe the weekend but there is always time for school – especially when it is Flavour School and it’s all about exploring new and interesting foods. Look out for the time-table of different types of food to try and book your child in as one of our Super Tasters.
Some of our stallholders will be running interactive activities at their stalls too so look out for those. Smart Raspberry and Make Lunch MK have some food activities at their stall and you can learn all about food and packaging waste in a game with MK Council’s Waste Education Officer.
